I would like to share my bio, books, products, and photo gallery with the hope that you will find this inspiring. I wish you all the best in your musical endeavors.

Jay Wanamaker is a music industry veteran who has been a composer, educator, and industry executive. He has authored over 50 publications including educational articles, music textbooks, method books, educational videos and DVDs. Jay has instructed numerous marching bands for events including the 1984 Olympic Opening Ceremonies, Pan Am Games, Special Olympics, Super Bowl XXIII, Liberty Weekend, and the McDonald's All-American High School Band.

Jay served on the prestigious music faculty of the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music where he conducted the USC Percussion Ensemble & USC Trojan Marching Band Drumline. Additionally, he was a music editor for the Alfred Publishing Company. His Final Rudimental Solo from Alfred's Drum Method Book II was featured in the hit movie, Drumline.

Jay’s experience includes executive positions at: Yamaha, Guitar Center, Fender, and Roland Corporation. Currently, he is Executive Vice President of Global Sales for Roland Corporation.

Additionally, he served on the Percussive Arts Society Board of Directors, and was the chairman for both the PAS International Drum Rudiment Committee and the Marching Percussion Committee.

Jay holds a Master of Management Degree from Aquinas College in Michigan, Master of Music Degree from the University of Kansas, and a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam.

The Rudiment Sticks are made of select rock maple and are designed expressly for beginning drummers learning the rudiments and are computer matched for an optimum balance of weight and pitch. The Practice Pad has a 6" gum rubber surface that helps students learn to bounce their sticks with the feel of an actual drum while learning the rudiments. The pad can be mounted on a stand.
